Deep & Diverse Mathematical Skills

Founded by a strong academic background in applied mathematics (multiple Masters and a PhD), and extended by 10 years of solving problems in businesses across numerous industries, we provide a unique mix of both very deep and diverse mathematical skills. We have published in the top conferences and journals (including a conference’s most cited paper ever). In industry, novel mathematical models have been applied, created, corrected, and enhanced. In general, problems come from industry, mathematical solutions come from academia, and someone in between has to match up the two (that’s us!).

Bringing Structure to Chaos

Complex problems are … complex. A first step to any problem solving is to consider if the right problem is being solved!! Identifying the right problem to solve can be as difficult as finding a solution! A high level of conceptual thinking is required to keep the overal view, break it down into little pieces, consider alternatives, to manage the projects, and to solve each little piece. Planning is essential towards reducing the risks, and good communication is required to keep everyone’s expectations in line.

Out-of-the-box Thinking

Researchers often exhibit a problematic character trait for businesses: they get trapped in their own world. It’s good to sometimes step back, take in the full scope, and provide a fresh look onto to the problem. Break-through ideas come from this ability to break the norm, but also by acquiring knowledge in one area and applying it in a novel way elsewhere.
